Transportation-Load Planner (Nights)

Position Purpose:

This position provides customer service and manages the planning of scheduled loads in a Geographical Region.

Hours for this position:

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday every other Saturday


Wednesday, Thursday, Friday every other Saturday

5pm-6am or 7pm to 8am

6 week Training Monday-Friday 8-5pm

  • Calculate regional inbound and outbound numbers
  • Decrease deadhead percentage
  • Increase utilization of trucks
  • Provide on time pick ups for customers
  • Manage trailer pool to ensure minimum amounts of available equipment
  • Maintain and monitor customer commitments
  • Know priorities between Customer and Transactual accounts
  • Communicate and work effectively and professionally with Customer Service, Fleet Operations, and Management of all levels
  • Increase home time percentage for drivers through proper planning
  • All other duties as required
  • Requirements

  • Relevant associate’s degree or higher degree preferred in business, logistics, or other relevant area
  • Bi-lingual / Spanish proficiently a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, electronic, and written)
  • Microsoft Office Skills
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Good organizational skills
  • 2-3 years Customer Service Representative, Load Planning, and/or Fleet Management experience required in transportation industry
  • Demonstrate positive, pleasant, and professional personality when dealing with others
  • Self-starter
  • Strong knowledge of US Geography
  • Must have basic knowledge of TMW
  • Must be 18 years or older to apply
